Andy has worked as an agent with hundreds of insurers and has particular expertise in the account management of global cargo programmes.
As Chief Operating Officer for the Pequod Group, he has overall responsibility for the daily operation of the company.
Andy has worked as an agent with hundreds of different insurers globally and has particular expertise in account managing TPA programmes for global cargo accounts and has travelled extensively, in close liaison with insurers, brokers and assureds, in the development of various client-based online claims systems.

Libby Smith
Director
Libby has over 30 years experience working in the Marine Insurance Market managing and negotiating claims for major global clients on behalf of insurers worldwide including Fruit, Clothing Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, Motor Vehicles, and Personal Effects. Libby also has experience in the handling of Freight Liability claims.
Having worked at Pequod for six years, Libby has responsibility for managing the team in the Pequod Stowmarket office, servicing a portfolio of clients as well as developing new business opportunities for the Pequod TPA business. Libby has also been instrumental in the design and implementation of the Pequod’s internal database and reporting systems,
Libby’s inter-personal skills and client relationships have enabled her to successfully manage the specific needs of both Insurers and the Assured. This includes prompt and efficient claims management, effective negotiating with insurers in order to achieve the desired result.

Mufei Lo
Director
Mufei has over 20 years experience in marine, transport and cargo insurance/claims management and loss adjusting and in all related matters across Asia and Europe. Mufei currently runs Pequod’s Singapore office overseeing regional business activities in Asia since joining in 2010.
After obtaining his MBA degree in Belgium, Mufei started his career as a claims executive in a leading P&I Club and then joined a specialist through transport liability insurer in a senior position, both roles in Europe. Mufei relocated to Asia twice to build up his comprehensive experience and in-depth knowledge in the region – he was Claims Manager in Hong Kong and Singapore for a leading P&I/Marine Liability Claims Correspondents, and has also worked as Recoveries Manager for the Singapore regional office of a global marine claims and cargo recovery agent. During his tenure there, he also was instrumental to set up a specialist transport liability claims department.
One of Mufei’s strengths is in the P&I, marine liability and through transport related matters. He has provided training and workshops to various shipping, transport and logistics interests on risk management and loss prevention aspects. He also has spoken at seminars in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Tunisia on various marine liability insurance and claims issues.
Mufei is fluent in Chinese, French and English.

Joe has over 35 years of comprehensive experience/knowledge of Marine Insurance Claims handling and all related matters. He has held numerous positions of authority within the Marine Claims arena, most recently as a Senior Vice President / Marine Claims Manager for Hugh Wood Inc. Prior to that he was the Director of Marine Claims for Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs / HRH / Willis, the President of Technical Claims Services, Inc. (TCS), Senior Vice President at Aon Risk Services’ Marine Technical Services Department and Assistant Claims Manager for Sanko Kisen (U.S.A.) Corp.
He has had responsibility for direct assistance of brokerage teams, as well as marine adjusters and related staff, with extensive experience handling major marine casualties including Hull & Machinery, Cargo, P&I claims including – FFO, Fines, FDD, Charter Party disputes, Crew and other Personal Injury claims.
As a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States Joe has served on the Committee on Carriage of Goods and the Committee on Maritime Personal. He has been an Industry Speaker and a serving member of the Association of the Average Adjusters of the United States, and the Marine Insurance Claims Association.

Donna Gandy

Donna joined Pequod October 2015 from Willis where she worked for 9 years as a Technical Manager progressing to Claims Advocate. She has handled a wide spectrum of claims over the years.
Prior to this, Donna gained considerable experience in both the shipping and insurance industries having spent 10 years, within management level and 8 years at a senior level handling direct marine carrier claims on behalf of two of the largest ranked global container operators in the world. Her specialist areas included:- on-site casualty assistance, risk management/prevention, shipowner liability issues, service contract wording reviews, commercial guidance to the group (and its network of worldwide agents) and of course all areas of claims handling. Donna brings to Pequod over 30 years of experience in both insurance and marine cargo claims handling.

Tom Roberts
Assistant Manager
Tom joined Pequod in 2015 from Willis Limited where he was a Divisional Director within their Marine Cargo claims team and was responsible for the end-to-end claims handling function for a number of large international and UK based clients. As a result, Tom handled claims involving a wide range of cargo types, including Bulk Commodities, Vehicle’s, Electronics and Oil.
Prior to joining Willis’ Cargo claims team, Tom spent 1 year with the Agency Claims Department of Willis where he was responsible for handling cargo claims on behalf of a number of Asian markets. Tom brings with him over 15 years’ experience in cargo claims handling and further strengthens our team.

John Denning

Before joining Pequod in January 2019, John was the senior marine claims adjuster at Sompo Japan for 14 years, where he was responsible for the claims management and administration of a number of prestigious Japanese accounts.
John is an experienced marine cargo claims handler specialising in direct and reinsurance, freight liability and goods in transit claims.
With a background working as a marine claims adjuster and a marine claims broker in both the Lloyd’s and Company markets, John brings with him 40 years experience in both marine insurance and marine cargo claims handling.

Kelly O'Reilly
Senior Claims Handler
Following the completion of her Business Mathematics degree in 2006 Kelly began her career by joining Willis. Her first role was in the accounts department.
Kelly developed advanced excel skills and she was a key contributor to the development and implementation of new processes across the accounting and settlement department. Having established a solid understanding of marine insurance Kelly then joined the cargo claims team, where she worked on a wide variety of accounts covering various commodities, territories and markets.
In 2017 Kelly joined Pequod bringing with her over 10 years’ experience and a Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Kelly seamlessly handles claims and recoveries for key accounts, using her broad skill set to deal with a variety of commodities and policies.
In addition to handling claims and recovery files, Kelly has meetings with key contacts, produces reports internally and externally and also provides mentorship, training and guidance to assist other team members in developing their own skills and experience.

Ellie Berry
Claims Handler
Ellie joined Pequod in January 2020 with 5 years of experience as a Senior Claims Advisor at LV Insurance. At LV Ellie handled a variety of different claim types, specialising in the non-standard commercial market.
At Pequod, Ellie handles claims and recoveries for key accounts dealing with a variety of commodities including photocopiers and their peripherals and an account dealing with motor vehicles. She also assists as part of a team with the smooth running of many other accounts handled within the Stowmarket office.
Her role includes query resolution, regular communication with third parties and accurate recording of claims figures onto the Pequod database system. Ellie is also responsible for all office administration duties and employs excellent organisational and communication skills to support the rest of the Stowmarket claims team.
