Following Government Guidelines, relating to safe working practices, we are conscious of our legal responsibility to protect workers and others from risk to their health and safety.

As a result, we have carefully considered the risks our employees may face and have undertaken to do everything reasonably practicable to minimise them.

We have developed our systems and working practices to ensure that all employees can seamlessly work remotely, whether when travelling or working from home. As a result of these plans, we were able, from the outset of the COVID-19 lockdown, to adapt to full remote working immediately, thus ensuring that our high service levels to clients have been fully maintained.

As lockdown measures begin to ease, we are looking beyond the “New Normal” to what the longer-term demands of the business environment as a whole and the insurance industry, in particular, will be.  To prepare for the reality of The Next Normal and ensure the long-term continuation of growth and development of The Pequod Group, we have adopted and implemented a series of procedures and working practices these are;

Home Working

In line with Government guidance, we have adopted a "Work from Home" Policy for all staff members where possible

Remote Systems

From the outset of COVID 19 the complete package of Pequod systems was accessible by all members of staff. This functionality remains in place until further notice.

Virtual Meetings

All meetings will be conducted using Microsoft Teams, to avoid in-person meetings. Again, this procedure will remain in place until further notice.

Virtual Audits

We continue to undertake audits by clients and to third party providers, via Microsoft Teams, ensuring that our compliance responsibilities are maintained.

Social Distancing

Where working from home is not possible, we always encourage members of staff to maintain 2m separation.
